Our worship service is an accurate reflection of both our congregation and the elders - blended. Music is lead by several members of the church on rotation and as such style varies week to week. We believe that theology is taught not merely by the sermons we hear but also in the songs we sing. As such we place a high regard on content and theologically sound lyrics. Musically our services include old hymns, new hymns, and both traditional and contemporary praise and worship songs.

On preaching, we agree with CH Spurgeon:
 “The motto of all true servants of God must be, ‘We preach Christ; and him crucified.’ A sermon without Christ in it is like a loaf of bread without any flour in it. No Christ in your sermon, sir? Then go home, and never preach again until you have something worth preaching.”

Depending on the series preaching can be either topical or expository and is primarily the responsibility of the lead teaching elder, Scott West.

    • Ages: Pre-K - 5th Grade
    • Time: 9:30AM - 10:30AM
Our worship services are pretty casual. Some people dress up a bit, while many others simply wear jeans and a t-shirt. We believe that God cares much more about the condition of our hearts than our outward appearance. If you join us for a service, please feel free to dress however you feel comfortable.
Fairway Baptist Church is located at the intersection of Pasadena and Fairway, about halfway between Kell and Southwest Parkway.
  • From Sheppard Air Force Base:
    Take Interstate 44 to Highway 287 South. Exit for Highway 82 (Kell) West. Take Kell to Fairway Blvd. Exit and turn left under the overpass. Fairway is about 4 blocks south on the right.
  • From anywhere in town:
    Take Kell to Fairway and go south on Fairway about 4 blocks and Fairway Baptist will be on your right.  OR Take Southwest Parkway to Fairway and go north about 6 blocks and Fairway Baptist is on the left.
